Embracing the home ownersReinterpreting the vernacular of the West, this sliding door to the study was inspired by the rustic barn doors, but in this case is applied inside with a sleek refined look. Photo By: Roger WadeInside the lodge, polished timbers echo the rustic inspiration and span the great room, which offers subtle views over the pond. The stone wall and fireplace balances the soft, warm tones of the wood with a natural stone presence. The room’s vaulted ceiling accentuates the views and signals the area as a place for entertaining, while the other areas of the home feature lower, more intimate ceiling heights. Photo By: Roger Wade
In the kitchen a central island creates a functional workspace with dramatic effect, while an informal breakfast table draws guests to enjoy the morning sunlight.
